Leading Ladies / Comedy
March 5-7
Blue Ridge Community Theater

Blue Ridge Community Theater starts off its “Year of Comedy” with the hilarious play by Ken Ludwig, “Leading Ladies” “Ludwig’s newest comedy is so funny, it will make sophisticated and reasonable men and women of the 21st century cackle till their faces hurt.” The Houston Press Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sunday’s at 2:00 pm. Youth Art Month Opening Reception
March 2
Blue Ridge Mountain Arts Association420 West Main Street (Downtown Historic Blue Ridge across from City Park).

Art students at the Fannin County Grammar School, Fannin County Middle Schools, and the Fannin County High School will put their work on display. The reception will be from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm on March 2nd. Join us, as we celebrate the creative spirit of our youth. This exhibit will remain on display until March 27. Appalachian Trail Celebration and Backpacking Clinic
March 6-7
Amicalola Falls State Park515 towards Atlanta, turn on Hwy 52 just before Ellijay, follow signage
Two full days of events beginning at 9:00 am each day. Saturday’s speakers capture the essence of the Appalachian Trail, as hikers share their dreams, challenges and adventures. Training sessions throughout the day, ending at 6:00 pm. Sunday many local outfitters give helpful tips and demonstrations on proper gear and preparation. All programs are located in the Lodge and are free of charge, however there is a $5.00 charge per vehicle unless you have a State Park Pass. Wine Highway Weekend
March 20-21
Nine Wineries from Young Harris to Dahlonega

Mark you calendar for the 5th annual “Wine Highway Weekend”. Last year’s event was great and this year will be even better! Blue Ridge is a great central location to base from for this event. This is a perfect time to get back in the swing of spring activities and there is no better way to shake the winter doldrums than spending a weekend in the mountains and tasting the Award Winning wines that are made from Georgia Grown Grapes. This event is 2 full days, you choose which winery you visit first to pay your one time fee. Check the GeorgiaWine website for details as the event gets closer, the wineries will each have their own schedules of events. This is a wonderful weekend to explore in Georgia’s Blue Ridge. Celtic Music Festival
March 26-28
Dahlonega, GA515 south to SR 52 head east

The Dahlonega-Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce presents their third annual Celtic Music Festival! Celtic-themed workshops will be held at various locations around Downtown Dahlonega. Enjoy bagpipers, storytellers and dance as you shop the art and craft exhibitors displaying and selling Celtic themed items. Saturday beginning @ 11:00 am, Sunday @ 1:00 pm.
