Many other great prizes will also be awarded. All proceeds benefit local children through Fannin County. Adults and children $10.00 per Card. Pickin' in the Park, Ron Henry Horseshoe Bend Park, McCaysville, GA. Come and enjoy Pickin' in the Park - every Thursday at 6:00 pm to dusk. Live music jams and pickin' on the banks of the Toccoa River at the Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville. Free Admission. And the park is wheelchair accessible. Come out and bring the whole family to enjoy the experience. Scattered picnic tables available, nice grassy lawn but you are also welcome to bring a blanket or chair. Sparky and Rhonda Rucker's concert performance is a humor filled journey through four hundred years of American cultural and folk history. It includes railroad songs, Appalachian music, old time blues, slave songs, Civil War music, gospel, work songs, cowboy music, ballads, and Sparky Rucker's own original compositions.

Music by the popular local music group "Butternut Creek and Friends", followed by tall tales by the Blue Ridge Mountain Storytellers. General admission is $5.00. Bring your poles and bait and the hatchery provides the fish in Rock Creek. Bring the kids out to learn about environmental conservation, trout fishing as a sport, USDA, US Fish & Wildlife and much more. T-shirts, great food and enjoy a morning of great fun fishing. Blairsville Scottish Festival & Highland Games Ceilidh 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Enjoy food, fellowship, and music that highlight the Ceilidh Dinner. Authentic fare, including traditional Haggis will be served. Bagpipers Joshua and Jacob Craig will welcome and entertain you. Additional entertainment will be provided by Tres de Solei, Keltic Kudzu, and Colin Grant Adams. Ceilidh tickets must be paid for in advance by Friday, June 5, 2009. Tickets $30/ea. Lewis Grizzard - In His Own Words
, Performing Arts Center by Fannin County High School. Take 515 towards Atlanta, turn left at Old Hwy 76 (June Walker Chevrolet) in just a couple of blocks you will see the sign for the highschool. Actor Steve Cool brings Lewis Grizzard to life in this hilarious, "fun" raiser. Meet Lewis's widow, Dedra Grizzard. "There ain't ever gonna be another Lewis, but this is as close as we will ever come to seeing him and enjoying him on stage, again." , Kiwanis Fairgrounds, Blue Ridge. Enjoy the rides, fairway, carnival goodies, fine local entertainers performing each day. Hours: Wednesday through Saturday hours are 5 pm to 11 pm. Sunday will be 1 pm to 8 pm. You may purchase advance tickets from all the local banks for $12.00 for Family Nights which is on Wednesday & Thursday, with advance tickets only for the discount. At the door prices and prices for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are $18.00. Also, the kids will enjoy the new programs called the "Rowdy Rooster" and a "Farmer for a Day" .
