2010 Blue Ridge Summer Camps

Trackrock Stables 2010 Horse Camp for Kids
With over 250 acres bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest, Trackrock Stables offers an adventure you will long remember. Trackrock Stables is home to wild turkey, deer, and many other types of wildlife and lush, colorful foliage. Both the first time and skilled rider will find a well-trained horse to suit their level of experience. You will have the opportunity to learn horsemanship from experienced guides as you ride across crystal clear mountain streams and canter through peaceful green meadows. Blue Ridge Camp
Blue Ridge Camp is a family operated, activity oriented, coed, and accredited camp. Blue Ridge Camp strives to develop an independent camper within a community setting. Each session consists of various field trips, special events, and 40 camper selected activities. With proper staff guidance, every camper has the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of activities in the areas of Aquatics, Athletics, Outdoor Adventure & the Arts. Every 3 days (6 periods per day) each camper selects his/her activities (each activity is 1 hour long). At the end of the 3 days, a camper may select new activities, or elect to continue with some.

3rd Annual! Local restaurants will provide food, the event will also include a silent auction, a live auction, wine tasting and music. Hours are from 6:00 PM -9:00 PM. Bike Race Cohutta 100 and Big Frog 65
April 24

The Cohutta 100 is a mix of fast moving rolling terrain and big climbs. There is significant elevation change throughout the course. There are about 35+ miles of single track and the remainder is forest service roads. (Very beautiful, scenic route.) The 100 will start at 7:00 AM. The big frog 65 will start at 7:15AM. Second annual Blairsville Mountain Fair sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Blairsville. Bigger and better with many new attractions and vendors. Spring Plein Air FestivalThe Art Center / Historic Courthouse in Blue Ridge

Artists will be scattered throughout the county painting, you will see them around town, at The Art Center or possibly come across them on the banks of the Toccoa River. Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race
April 10

Run, mountain bike & kayak the Toccoa River in this 13th annual co-ed adventure race. 90+ co-ed teams of three participate. Race starts at 8:00 AM sharp. This event is for the adventure racer and the spectator alike. Finish line is at The Horseshoe Bend Park in McCaysville, GA. Join us at the park at 1:00 PM with live reggae music by The Nattie Lovejoys, food and fun, park has lots of picnic tables, hang out by the river, playground, lots of green space to enjoy. Bear on the Square Mountain Music & Folk Art Festival

The 14th annual Bear on the Square Mountain Festival features bluegrass and old-time music and authentic mountain crafts on the historic Public Square, 13 South Park Street, Dahlonega, Georgia all weekend. Pre-festival events, including workshops and a country auction, begin April 16th - 18th. Festival activities include concerts, musical and crafting workshops, continuous jam sessions (everyone’s invited to join in!) street dance, children’s activities, storytelling, demonstrations and sales of traditional mountain crafts and regional foods.
